Stepping eagerly into a new year, it is fitting to reflect on the incredible year of milestones and growth that has paved the way for 2024.
In the spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing, Dataweavers proudly sponsored and participated in major industry events across the globe in 2023. From the Sitecore DX Sydney, to SUGCON Minneapolis, and SUGCON Brisbane, these functions gave us the opportunity to sponsor and contribute to the Sitecore DXP community.
Team expansion and securing investment
2023 marked significant growth in the global team with 26 talented new members joining. Welcoming this new talent enhanced our Sitecore capability and global capacity to support globally recognizable brands across the UK, USA, and ANZ.
To power our expansion and innovation endeavors, Dataweavers secured a second capital raise of $5.5 million. This financial backing from investors, included continued investment from Our Innovation Fund and new investment from Five V Capital and Queensland Investment Corporation, symbolizing and proving the trust and confidence they have in our vision for continued global growth.
A year of success
In 2023, Dataweavers celebrated global impact with brands including Toyota, American Heart Association, London.com, Stamford Health, Beckman Coulter and Essential Energy selecting Dataweavers Sitecore Operational Platform as the new age approach to managing Sitecore DXP ecosystems.
Representing diverse sectors such as finance, health, utilities and automotive, our clients experienced direct impact on innovation, reliability and velocity. Customers endorsed our outcome-based approach through contracted service levels for End User performance, and cloud costs.
To understand more about our customers' needs, Dataweavers conducted a comprehensive survey of 400 Sitecore customers. Three resounding themes on DXP environments were:
- The environment is unstable.
- Deployments don’t work.
- Innovation is stifled.

Celebrating growth, innovation and team spirit
Throughout 2023, we fostered team unity with monthly barbeques at our Brisbane headquarters. Our USA team also joined together in Minneapolis ahead of SitecoreDX and SUGCON and had a blast with some of our Asia Pacific colleagues joining in on the fun. Looking ahead, we're also gearing up for an exciting trip to Cleveland.
